Meet our Coaches, Mentors on and off the Ice.

At Georgetown Skating Club, our coaching team is the heart of every program. Each coach is certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and trained under Skate Canada and Skate Ontario standards of excellence.

Coach Susan

GSC Technical Director of Programs, and National Certified Coach
Susan has been a full-time professional coach for almost 30 years, but don’t let her decades of experience fool you. She is as full of energy as she was when she started! Susan began her career earning a diploma in Coaching Techniques from Seneca College and has continued to educate herself by mentoring with the best coaches in the world. Her passion for jumping has made freeskate her primary focus, guiding skaters through StarSkate and the competitive ranks. Using current techniques and video analysis, Susan breaks down skills and teaches them in an age and skill appropriate manner with fun and patience. Susan also teaches skills, dance, synchro, and power skating. If it’s done on ice , Susan can teach it! She is National Trained.

Coach Becky

Learn to Skate Coordinator (Mon/Wed) and Regional Certified Coach specializing in Dance and Choreography
Becky has over 40 years of skating experience and 20+ of that is coaching.  She currently coaches in Georgetown Skating Club only and is our Learn to Skate Coordinator.  Her focus is dance and she achieved all her Gold’s.  She was also a competitive dancer as part of her skating journey.  Becky is a regional coach.  Her passion is dance and choreography.

Becky is available to coach dance on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Saturday’s during all StarSkate Sessions.

Coach Sabrina

Regional Trained Coach
Sabrina began skating at the age of 5 and has developed a lifelong passion for the sport. She has successfully passed all Gold-level tests in Dance, Skills, Freeskate, and Artistic, and is also a proud Diamond Dancer. Sabrina competed as a Junior-level competitive skater before retiring from competition. Sabrina is Regional Trained Coach and currently pursuing her Provincial Coach certification, Sabrina brings experience, dedication, and a supportive approach to the ice. 

Sabrina currently coaches on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 

Coach Tayler

Learn to Skate Coordinator (Sat), and Regional Trained Coach
Tayler is a Regional level trained coach who coaches all aspects of StarSkate.  She began skating at age 3 and became a competitive skater where she trained in Oakville.  Tayler also competed with University of Guelph and is currently doing her masters to become a teacher.

Tayler is available Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays for all sessions.

Coach Justine

Regional Coach in Training
Justine is a CanSkate and Regional Coach in-training. She has been skating for over 15 years and has experience in all StarSkate disciplines, particularly Freeskate.

Justine is available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Coach Charlotte

Regional Coach in Training
Charlotte has over 15 years of skating experience, including time spent in a high-performance program. After hanging up her competitive skates, she began coaching and has been doing so for five years. Her coaching philosophy focuses on effort, positivity, and resilience — because falling is part of learning, and growth comes from getting back up. She loves sharing the magic of skating and believes this sport builds both skill and character. 
 
Charlotte is available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. 

Coach Sara

CanSkate Coach in Training
 Sara is a dedicated figure skater with over 10 years of experience on the ice and a passion that continues to grow. Sara competes at the Junior synchro level with Gold Ice and in Star 5 Freeskate, always striving to refine her skills and push her limits. As a CanSkate coach, Sara brings a positive, focused energy to every session, inspiring skaters of all levels to reach their full potential. Her commitment to the sport and helping others succeed makes her a valued coach and helps skaters build confidence and improve while enjoying the process. 

Sara is available for coaching on Mondays 

Coach Trinity

Regional Trained Coach
Trinity has been skating for just over 13 years with lots of experience in singles and synchronized skating. Last season she skated in Quebec on Golding ice junior. Which is now known as Prima Junior. Trinity is taking a break from competing in synchro but is hoping to return in the next year or two. Trinity is driven to help and pass on her passion of figure skating to new skaters and to keep thriving as a skater.

Coach Holly

Elite Hockey Coach & Skating Specialist

Holly is a lifelong hockey player and an experienced high-performance coach with deep roots in Halton Hills. She grew up playing for the Thunder before joining girls’ junior hockey in Oakville at age 14 and later skating with the Toronto Aeros, the top-ranked U18AA team in Ontario for two straight seasons.

Her strong play earned her a spot on Team Ontario and a four-year NCAA scholarship, where she trained under some of the leading power skating specialists in the sport.

After her playing career, Holly shifted her focus to coaching and has since helped develop elite female athletes, including players now competing in the PWHL. She has coached at the junior and U18 levels and currently leads the U9 program for the Halton Hills Twisters.

Holly’s coaching style centers on strong technical foundations. She emphasizes edge control, stride mechanics and skating efficiency to help athletes build confidence and reach their full potential.
