Adult StarSkate

Figure Skating Development for Adult Skaters

Adult STARSkate is designed for skaters 18 and older who want to develop their figure skating skills in a supportive, goal-focused environment. Whether you are returning to the sport or continuing from Adult CanSkate, this program helps you build strength, confidence and technique while working toward Skate Canada STAR levels.

Program Overview

Adult STARSkate follows the same structure as the national STAR program, with coaches adapting training and expectations to suit adult learning and pacing.

Who this Program is For:

  • Adult skaters who completed Adult CanSkate or CanSkate Stage 5+
  • Adults with previous figure skating experience looking to return to the sport
  • Adults interested in technical skill development
Skaters who want to pursue STAR assessments at their own pace
  • Adults seeking a structured, coached skating program with clear goals

Skills We Focus On

  • Edge quality and control
  • Turns and transitions
  • Jump and spin development
  • Dance patterns and timing
  • Power, extension and glide
  • Artistic expression
  • Flexibility and body alignment

Coaches provide demonstration, corrections and direction while giving adult skaters time to practice and work through skills independently.

What to Expect
